Director of Information Technology
Mr. Ruben A. Molina
As the Director of Cherokee Information Services, Inc., Information Technology practice, Mr. Molina is responsible for providing leadership to the IT practice to ensure Cherokee continues to provide a well-trained, experienced, motivated, high-performing IT workforce; and quality IT services and product.
Mr. Molina began his professional career in May, 1976 as a United States Marine serving in a variety of postings that included staff officer assignments. While on active duty, Mr. Molina received a Bachelor of Science degree from Chapman College.
Retiring from the U. S. Marine Corps in March, 1997, Mr. Molina accepted a position with Citibank, Nevada (N.A.) as the operations manager within the Transaction Services directorate managing data capture functions, float management and off-shore transaction processing. While at Citibank, Mr. Molina completed a graduate degree program and subsequently accepted a position with The Mitre Corporation’s Economic and Decision Analysis Center as a senior economic and business analyst. His assignments included projects supporting the Internal Revenue Service Business Systems Modernization Program, the U. S. Army Distance Learning Program and the Pentagon Renovation Program. His specialty was in the areas of IT investment planning, process engineering and performance management.
Prior to joining Cherokee Information Services, Mr. Molina other assignments included Enterprise Architecture Planning as an enterprise architect to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). For OMB, Mr. Molina assisted the DHS program manager conducting FEA reference model proof of concept studies directly contributing to the development of both the business and performance reference models.
